I can’t fathom how dieters stick to the plan for 10 days but more power to them.
I woke up this morning, stopped at Starbucks, and thought, it’s good to be back!
I will admit, I felt extremely energized and positive while getting ready for work. Instead of badgering myself over the fact I only lasted 3 days, I was proud that I stuck with it for that long. My plan now…well I’m not so sure about that, but being healthier is somewhere in the mix!

Hey Natalie, 3 days are better than none right? I've been meaning to try this cleanse myself but haven't yet. I seriously doubt I could make it 10 days, but I'm going to try. I read that you had to use a specific kind of maple syrup. What kind did you use and where did you get it?

Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI was told to use Grade B Organic Maple syrup; however, when I went to Harris Teeter all I could find was Grade A. I asked a friend who finished the 10 day cleanse and she told me Grade A was fine, plus it's cheaper.
Also, someone told me they took Cayenne Pepper tablets instead of using the powder in the lemonade because it was easier. I would probably have to agree with this since I wasn't crazy about the pepper and wasn't using as much as I was supposed to.
If you try the cleanse, maybe do it with a buddy, I think I could have lasted longer if I teamed up with someone else.
Good luck and if you have any other questions for a rookie, feel free to ask!
Oh ya, I couldn't stomach the salt-water-flush, instead I drank a glass of organic smooth move tea at night, not to go into detail or anything, but that did the trick too!
Thanks Natalie,
ReplyDeleteI may go see if Fresh Market has grade B (I wish we had a Whole Foods instead), but if not... Grade A it is. Oh, and thanks for the tip about the tea.

Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI agree about the Whole Foods, I think the closest is in Raleigh. Good luck with the cleanse if you end up doing it and keep me posted, I'd love to hear about someone else's experience!
